Tenderloin Museum in San Francisco opens its doors to the public for the whole day on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 10am to 9pm, in celebration of their first anniversary.

In partnership with some non-profit organizations, other museums and local businesses, free hourly program is going to happen starting from 1pm to 8pm.

They’ll be hosting the Asian Art Museum, the California Historical Society, and Larkin Street Services Youth Art Program, among many others.

Here’s the Programming Schedule:

  • 1 pm: Youth Magic Class with Magician Mike Della Penna
    Learn magic tricks from Mike as he conducts a short teach-in session with the attendees after his performance.

 

  • 2 pm: Asian Art Museum
    Learn more about the life of Prince Rama that has been an important subject for visual and performing arts, literature, and religious thought in the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia.

 

 

  • 4 pm: California Historical Society
    Listen to Billy Jennings’ discussion on the history and impact of the Black Panther Party in City of San Francisco.

 

  • 5 pm: Don Herron on Dashiell Hammett
    Learn about the famous American author names as the “Grandfather of Noir.”

 

  • 6 pm: Skywatchers
    Join the Tenderloin residents as they celebrate their community through music and dance.

 

  • 7 pm: Café Society SF
    Listen to the best contemporary jazz asrtists like Tomas Jay with the Dave Austin trio, and other special guest vocalists.

 

  • 8 pm: Aunt Charlie’s Dream Queens Revue Drag Show
    Queens Donna Personna, Collette LeGrande & the TL Museum’s own Cruzin d’Loo will dazzle us with drag performances
