Witness the San Francisco’s waterfront fireworks tradition as we say goodbye to 2016 and ring in the 2017 New Year for a free waterfront midnight fireworks on Saturday, December 31st at the Embarcadero Center in San Francisco, California.

The firework show will be 15 minutes long and each year, they will be unveiling a few new and exciting pyrotechnics! And because we love you so much, we’ll be giving tips on where to hang out to get the best views of the fireworks display.

We encourage you to arrive at least 30 minutes before the show to score the best spots. Head south of the Ferry Building along the Embarcadero. The fireworks will launch from the barges located 1,000 feet out in the bay just south of the Ferry Building near Pier 14, so the best spots to watch the fireworks will be south of Sinbad’s Restaurant along the Embarcadero between Mission and Folsom Street.

Other awesome viewing locations include Yerba Buena Island or Treasure Island, where you can squeeze in for an amazing shot looking towards the San Francisco skyline with the Bay Bridge below you, and for a more grounded shot, go to the flatlands of Treasure Island.

There’s also the Telegraph Hill, although residential, it has two places with stunning views such as the end of Alta Street and the end of Calhoun terrace. Just remember not to litter.

The fireworks will be accompanied by music, so if you’re close to Pier 14, you will be hear the music just fine.

Happy New Year, you guys!
