Everyone is invited to join NYC Parks for Festival Friday with the Hip Hop Film Festival at Fort Greene Park in Brooklyn, NYC on Friday, June 22, 2018, at 7:30 pm.
Have fun with the creative genius of some of the City’s most talented DJs as they compete in this live-scoring event. Participants will score a scene from a classic film using only turntables (and/or a mic). Celebrity DJs and the audience will vote on the winner.
After the scoring contest, there will be a free screening of the Hip Hop Film Festival’s 2017 “BEST OF THE FESTIVAL” winner, “See You Yesterday”, written & directed by Stefon Bristol, produced by Spike Lee.
Reminders Before You Go:
Please arrive before 8:00 PM to snag a sweet spot. A limited supply of chairs will be provided so feel free to bring some blankets and small chairs to sit on. For beverages, only bottled waters are allowed, no glass. Seats are on a first-come, first-served basis. Everyone is welcome!
