The African American Museum & Library in Oakland continues its traditional Martin Luther King, Jr. Film Festival and has prepared a selection of critically acclaimed films that put into historical perspective the Civil Rights movements and the its involved heroes.
The film festival will be held at the African American Museum & Library on Monday, January 16th at 11:00 am in Oakland, California.
Here are the four films documenting African Americans’ struggle for civil rights that will be screened:

- The African American: Many Rivers to Cross
- The Powerbroker: Whitney Young’s Fight for Civil Rights, and
