Join the rest of the bookworms and food lovers at Omnivore Books on Food as they launch the book “Colonial Spirits: A Toast to Our Drunken History” this coming Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm in San Francisco, California.

In the book, Steven Grasse features a historical manifesto on drinking, including 50 awesome colonial era-inspired cocktail recipes. Also included in the books are a rousing timeline of colonial imbibing and a cultural overview of a crazy number of your favorite drinks such as beer, punch, rum, and medicinal beverages like wine, cider, bourbon and whiskey.

Omnivore Books on Food is a bookstore filled with hundreds of antiquarian, new, and collectible titles of books about food and cooking.

It also hosts a lot of events like chef talks, book signing, cooking contests, food and drink tastings, and author readings.
