It’s your chance to watch the epic Draconid meteor shower this month which is only visible in temperate and far-northern latitudes like the U.S., Europe, Canada and Northern Asia.

The meteor shower will appear this Friday, October 7, 2016 (its peak date) from 7:00pm to 2:00am and the best place to watch it is at San Francisco Bay Area.

Sometimes called the Giacobinids, the Draconid meteors radiate from the head of the northern constellation Draco the Dragon near the starts Eltanin and Rastaban.

This meteor shower has been known to rain down hundreds, even thousands of meteors in an hour. So prepare to be mesmerized!
