Retired Swarthmore College professor Goerge Lakey will be having a discussion about his new book  “Viking Economics: How The Scandinavians Got It Right And How We Can Too” at The Green Arcade in 1680 Market Street, San Francisco, California on Thursday, January 19th from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm.

Lakey has lived and worked in Norway and will be sharing an uplifting story. What economists call “the Nordic model” puts Denmark, Iceland, Norway and Sweden at the top tier of international ratings.

Included in that specific part are education, health care, security of all people, and abundance of job. Among the four, only Norway found substantial oil, but all of them Nordics were quick in bouncing back from the 2008 crisis that still oppress Europe and the U.S.
