It’s that time of the year again; June 3 is National Doughnut Day! Go to your nearest Krispy Kreme outlet and get yourselves free doughnut. No purchase is necessary, but it’s one free doughnut per person.

This event is supposedly a real holiday that was created by the Salvation Army in 1983 to honor the volunteers who served doughnuts to soldiers during World War I.
