Taco Bell is doing this for the last seven years, and now, they are launching again a “Steal a Base, Steal a Taco” promotion for the World Series, which will highlight either the Los Angeles Dodgers or the Milwaukee Brewers facing the Boston Red Sox or the Houston Astros.

Wondering how is this going to work? Okay, so the first player to steal a base during the Baseball World Series triggers a landslide of tacos and to celebrate that steal, Taco Bell is giving away a free Doritos Locos Tacos for everyone.

The championship series kicks off on October 23 and could last as late as October 31 if the series reaches to seven games. No matter when that first base is stolen, you can get your free taco on Thursday, November 1 from 2:00 – 6:00 pm at participating restaurants across the US.

Taco Bell is teaming up with Topps, the trading card company, to create limited edition “Taco Hero” baseball cards to honor the person who brings tacos to the masses aka America’s Taco Liberator.

Taco Bell also introduces the “Steal a Base, Steal a Taco” baseball caps this year, which will be available at Taco Bell locations near the ballparks hosting the World Series together with the baseball cards. Featured in the pack are the six previous Taco Heroes namely Cameron Maybin, Jacoby Ellsbury, Jason Bartlett, Ángel Pagán, Lorenzo Cain, and Francisco Lindor. The seventh will be available at Topps.com 24 hours after the base is stolen.
