The books features famous restaurants where Hollywood ate, drank and played dating back to the 1920s classics like Musso & Frank and The Brown Derby to the mid-20th century restaurants such as Chasen’s, Romanoffs and Circo’s to the dawn of California cuisine in the 1970s and ‘80s like Ma Maison and Spago Sunset, and a lot more.
Geary leads you to the main restaurant scenes in the City of Angels. The book is filled with colourful anecdotes and illustrated with vintage photographs, packed with historic menus. Over 100 iconic recipes are also included from entrees and appetizers to desserts and vintage drinks to the recent century’s cook and kitchen styles.
