Attend the free book launching of “The Saffron Tales from the Persian Kitchen” by Yasmin Khan this Thursday, October 13, 2016 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm at Omnivore Books on Food in San Francisco, California.

Khan’s adventure to finish the book includes traversing Iran in search of Persia’s most delicious recipes. Armed with just a notebook and a bottle of pomegranate molasses, the British-Iranian cook took the route to from the snowy mountains of Tabriz and the paddies of Gilan to the metro cafes of Tehran and the pomegranate orchards of Isfahan. There, she was welcomed into the humble homes of farmers, artists, teachers and electricians.

Omnivore Books on Food is a Noe Valley bookstore which is filled with hundreds of new, antiquarians, and collectible titles about food and cooking.

The bookshop hosts events like book signings, author readings, food and drink tastings, cooking contests and chef talks.
