Just like most things in Miami, maintaining your beach body doesn’t come cheap, so we’ve created a list of the best fitness classes in the city that won’t make you touch your bank account. All you need is a water bottle, a towel and your motivation.

1. Boot camp

All over Miami
Sweat it out in a one- to two-hour session of circuit training led by a local vet. High-interval exercises will be conducted like jump squats, sprints, and push-ups. All levels are definitely welcome, and remember to move at your own pace, you’ll pretty much gain strength each week. There are a number of parks to get your boot camp fix, such as Tropical Park in South Miami, Live Like Bella Park in Homestead, and Greynolds Park in North Miami.

2. Cycle the Underline

Downtown Miami
Join the free monthly cycling club every first Saturday of each month in the 10-mile linear park. It is open to all levels. Don’t forget to bring your helmet.

3. Run club

Homestead
Run off the day’s stress every Tuesday night. The meeting point is at Baptist Hospital at 7:0 pm. The route will cover 3.5 miles and will probably take up about an hour to complete. First time runner will get free water, and parking is free to all.

4. Zumba

All over Miami
Dance to the energetic tunes of reggae while sweating it out at one of the main workouts in Miami – Zumba. There a lot of classes nearly every day at any time across the city. Sessions run for an hour, dress lightly and wear comfortable sneakers and get ready to shake, jump, and shimmy.

5. Bike at night

Downtown Miami
Join one of Miami’s largest cycling groups called Critical Mass. Riders from across the city converge near the Government Center in Downtown Miami every last Friday of each month and cycle around the city through the night. The event is meant for more experienced cyclists but they open to welcoming neophytes also. You should bring your bike, helmet, blinker and water.

6. Capoeira

Bayfront Park
Join the capoeira class by Brazilia-born master Adailton Dos Reis, who goes by Mestre Ze Com Fome of Brazil during sessions. Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian form of martial art. Classes are every Saturday from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon. The classes integrate martial arts, dance, music, acrobatics, accompanied by a consistent drum rhythm in the background to keep the participants energized.

7. Beach workout

South Beach
Just like a regular boot camp, all workouts are done at the beach, on the sand, giving the classes an added balance challenge. Free classes happen on Tuesdays, Thursday, and Saturdays at 9:00 am, led by a team of experts, 24Fit Fit Camp, near the boardwalk and 73rd St.

8. Spinning

All over Miami
It’s true that spin studios in Miami charge for memberships, but, most offers free classes for first-timers. There are plenty of studios across Miami, such as Redbike in Downtown, WynWheels in Wynwood, the Secret Cycling Society in Hialeah, or Flywheel in Coral Gables and North Miami. So mark your calendar and make a month-long schedule of spinning without paying anything.

9. Pilates and yoga fusion

Pembroke Pines
Grab your mat and join a free class of Pilates and yoga mixed together, a workout for building strength, increase flexibility, and lose weight. Don’t forget to bring your own water. The sessions happen once a week.

10. Yoga

All over Miami
Free yoga is available across Miami. Join a class at 3rd Street Beach Yoga every morning at 7:00 am and evenings at 5:00 pm or 6:00 pm. Dharma Studio also offers free sessions at Peacock Park every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00 pm, and the Mayfair Rooftop on Saturday mornings at 8:00 am. Another free classes  are happening at Rina Yoga which offers free on at Coral Way each first and third Friday.
