Join this year’s Presidio Kite Festival at Main Parade Ground on Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm in San Francisco, California.
Presidio Kite Fest is happening and the event will feature build-your-own-kite workshops, kite art, giant kite flying, Taiko drummers, and even food trucks.
Let your imagination soar at this colorful, family-friendly festival featuring all things kite. The artistry, diversity, and fun of modern flying will take your breath away! The free, all-day event features a free “build you own kite” booth, hands on learning from kite experts, a kite art exhibition, giant kites, mega team flying, Taiko drummers, and food trucks.
Note: Registration is appreciated but not required. Free kites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration does not guarantee a seat in the kite-making tent.

This summer’s artistry, diversity, and fun of modern flying will take your breath away with free, all-day activities featuring:
- Kite Making Pavilion– Create your own masterpiece using a free kite making kit, and then take it out for a sail above the beautiful Main Parade Ground. Kids and adults are invited to participate.
- Giant Creature Kites & Kite Art Exhibition– They will showcase their mind-blowing designs. Don’t be surprised to see giant kites chasing the wind overhead.
- Food Trucks, Picnic and Kite Flying Area– Grab a bite from food trucks or pack your own lunch. Then take your own single line kite for a spin on the lawn.
- Taiko Drummers– Feel the beat of these traditional performers as they provide a musical backdrop for the day’s festivities.
