The free cooking demo will feature the seasonal bounty of the Jack London Square Farmers Market.

Calavera is in Uptown Oakland’s The Hive, led by Executive Chef Gustavo Romero. Originally from Mexico, Romero draws his inspiration from his native country’s rich culinary heritage. Romero is excited to be in the Bay Area, and says he’s always wanted to cook the food of his native country. “I’m passionate about the opportunity to present Mexican food in a modern way, and I’ excited to be at Calavera to further explore this fascinating cuisine”, said Romero.
