Winter is coming. Be prepared and get educated.

Join the free tour of Lefferts Historic House in Flatbush on Sunday, November 27th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm in Brooklyn, New York.

Learn the winter basic preparations like how to make a candle, watch a master spinster spin wool thread just like what they did two centuries ago in the farming village of Flatbush. Plus, enjoy Dutch treats from a special Lefferts family recipe!

Built by a Dutch family back in the 18th century, Lefferts Historic House features historic artefacts, period rooms and exhibits, and a working garden. Aside from candle making and sewing, visitors are encouraged to play with traditional tools, toys and games, and participate in other historic activities.

The Prospect Park Alliance along with the Historic House Trust of New York City, operate and preserve this important piece of New York City’s history.

The Lefferts Historic House is located in the Children’s Corner near the Willink entrance, at Flatbush Avenue and Empire Boulevard.
